🚨 1 Million Food Rations Distributed in Gaza 🚨 Samaritan’s Purse, in partnership with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, has now distributed more than 1 million sachets of Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) to hungry women and children in Gaza. Since this response began, our Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) and staff have airlifted these life-saving rations across 12 relief flights—and just yesterday, the 1 millionth sachet was placed in the hands of a mother trying to feed her family. Alongside our food distributions, Samaritan's Purse medical teams have also been providing urgent first aid to those arriving on-site in need, treating more than 1,400 patients (including recurring patients) to date. 🙏 Please continue to pray for families across the Middle East who are suffering and that God would bring peace and salvation to those who do not yet know Him. Families in Samnang’s community live and work in a garbage dump. Many parents, overwhelmed by these harsh conditions, turn to alcohol or violence to cope—leaving children hungry for love and attention. When Samnang was a child, God used an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift—and The Greatest Journey discipleship program—to profoundly change her life. Today, she is pouring into the next generation by teaching The Greatest Journey to other children. One year ago, on September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene swept across western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee—unleashing torrential rain on the already saturated Blue Ridge Mountains. Streams became raging rivers. Roads collapsed. Communities were cut off. Homes and businesses were swallowed by floodwaters, leaving behind devastation buried in thick layers of mud. Within 24 hours, Samaritan’s Purse launched a disaster response in our own backyard. Today, the rebuild continues—and will for years to come.
