Ongoing statewide prosperity as well as challenges facing Utah require vigilant attention and advocacy. Last week was #LeadershipUtah’s Arts, Sports & Entertainment Day! Over the course of a year, the cohort of private and public sector participants expand their network, hear from key community leaders and learn how they can best support our ever-changing society. Starting the day off at Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Lauren Allred Hurtado revealed how this contemporary art hub fuels creativity, bold ideas and dialogue on critical issues. Next, the #LeadershipUtah cohort visited Lagoon Amusement Park, with Dori Clark and Jimmy Sunlight sharing the story of this beloved amusement park, a Utah staple since 1886. After visiting Lagoon Amusement Park, the cohort had the opportunity to tour Hale Centre Theatre! Quinn Dietlein and Brandon Erickson gave a tour spotlighting the theatre’s commitment to stellar, family-oriented performances. This incredible day ended at The Ballpark at America First Square, where presenters showed off this exciting new venue redefining minor league baseball and community fun. Truly an amazing day!
