We’ve just released the first panel of our new Women In Cyber podcast! To kick off the series, I wanted to jump in with both feet and ask a pretty big question: how do you found a successful cybersecurity company? And to help me find the answer, I sat down with Poornima DeBolle, Co-Founder and Chief Technology and Security Officer at Menlo Security Inc., and Kris Bondi, CEO and Co-Founder at Mimoto. We covered the entire founding journey: how Poornima and Kris came up with the ideas behind Menlo and Mimoto, how they grew their initial teams, and the moment they knew the company was going to be a success. But we also talked candidly about the challenges they faced along the way, from difficulties in finding the right partners and hiring the right talent, to navigating the realities of starting a family whilst working in such a fast-paced industry. A recent article from CyberTech - Cyber Technology Insights™ explores the agency’s legacy, the potential risks of its expiration, and what it means for executive-level cybersecurity strategy. A key takeaway comes from Devin Ertel, CISO at #MenloSecurity, who points to the crucial legal protections CISA provides. Ertel warns, "If CISA isn’t renewed, we risk losing that foundation.
