🛡️ Cybersecurity isn’t just for the “tech people.” Medical device cybersecurity takes builders, explainers, and owners - across every function. That’s why the Joint Security Plan (JSP) exists: your blueprint for building a strong cybersecurity house. 🏗️ Foundation = Concept 🔨 Framing = Design & Development 🕵️ Inspection = V&V 🛠️ Maintenance = Postmarket This Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we’re making it simple (yes, even for non-security folks). Read more in our blog: https://bit.ly/46vqkdT And, be sure to share the Medcrypt page with your colleagues so they can follow along! #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #MedTech #FDA #BuiltToLast

What do we mean when we say legacy device? No longer marketed or supported by the manufacturer? Still being sold but cleared before 524B? Or out of production but still in use at hospitals? 🔵FDA doesn’t differentiate between those situations. 🔵The real trigger for 524B is whether the device is new or modified in a way that requires resubmission. 🔵Otherwise, devices remain under QSR and risk management obligations. We broke it down simply here: https://bit.ly/4ndMUx1 #FDA #Cybersecurity #LegacyDevices #Medcrypt
