  • We would like to introduce the latest edition to our “People Behind the Product” series! In this series, we celebrate the incredible individuals who make up our diverse #MeyerSound team worldwide. We are thrilled to introduce Owen Ironside, Sales Manager - APAC.    Owen’s dedication to collaboration, insight, and excellence drives Meyer Sound’s presence across Asia and the pacific. As Sales Manager for the region, his deep industry knowledge and strategic mindset support our partners in delivering exceptional sound experiences. Owen’s leadership strengthens relationships and expands opportunities, bringing the Meyer Sound standard to every stage and venue.   To get to know Owen better, we asked him a few questions about his work at Meyer Sound and life beyond the office.   Question: What is your favorite Meyer Sound memory?   Answer: It would have to be The PANTHER launch in Las Vegas. It was the first time since the pandemic that we got together as a company. It was such a great atmosphere, and it felt like there was magic in the air. From the moment those first few notes hit us, we all knew something very special was happening.   Q: What book is on your bedside table?   A: The Encyclopedia Of Space (Published in 1968!) It was my Dad’s, and he shared his passion for space with me as a kid. Now I get to share it with my daughters.   Q: What does a perfect day off look like for you?    A: It sounds strange, but I find the best way to unwind is extreme sports. Downhill mountain biking, skiing, motorsports… It’s impossible to think about anything else, so really anything that requires a helmet and I’m pretty much in!   Q: What is an achievement you are proud of?   A: I couldn’t be prouder of my two amazing daughters, Summer and Heidi.   Q: Sweet or savory?   A: Savory, all the way!   Q: Dogs or cats? Do you have any pets?   A: If they didn’t make me sneeze, I’d have a cat for sure.   Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you?   A: When I’m not travelling around Asia Pacific for Meyer Sound, I spend a lot of time at the race track, as a superbike racer and mechanic. Starting with a road bike, I build and set up superbikes to race specification, then race them!

Nestled in the heart of Niagara’s wine country, the Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate Amphitheatre has been a stage for Canada’s most iconic artists since 2001. This summer, the 575-seat open-air venue made history as the first in Canada to feature our ULTRA-X80 versatile point source loudspeaker. The system includes 8 ULTRA-X80s, 6 900-LFC compact low-frequency control elements, 10 ULTRA-X20 compact point source loudspeakers as front-fills, and a GALAXY-816 digital processor — designed by Jamie Howieson, provided by Solotech, and supported by our Canadian distributor GerrAudio Distribution. “Providing a world-class sound experience from our whimsical, vineyard amphitheatre is integral to our concert series. Our guests agree, there is nothing better than enjoying a sophisticated sound experience, while sipping a Grand Reserve Wine under the stars!” said Stacey Vukovics, Estate Manager, Jackson-Triggs Niagara Estate. Rob Richardson, President of Marquis Entertainment and promoter for the Jackson-Triggs Amphitheatre, added: “We at the Jackson-Triggs Amphitheatre have always prided ourselves on creating a unique and personal musical experience for our guests. With the Meyer ULTRA-X80 system in place, our audience and artist response throughout the season has been consistently and overwhelmingly impressed. The quieter singer-songwriter shows feel rich and clear while the rock shows feel more present and nuanced than ever.” As the amphitheatre wraps up another successful concert season, we’re proud to have helped power unforgettable performances with incredible audio solutions.

  • Thank you to LaRussell for visiting our Berkeley factory for a tour. It was a pleasure to share a behind-the-scenes look at how we design and build our technologies, and to exchange ideas about sound, creativity, and innovation.

  • We’re excited to return to the 12th annual Mix Sound for Film & TV 2025 at Sony Pictures Studios, where we’ve been longstanding supporters, and we can't wait to connect with our friends in the post-production cinema community. Step into the control room of the legendary Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage for all-day Bluehorn system demos, delivering full-bandwidth monitoring with flat frequency response and unmatched phase linearity. Demos will also run in the newly commissioned Mix Stage 17, featuring a 9.1.6 Atmos immersive sound system with our HMS-10 surround loudspeakers and Acheron Studio screen channel loudspeakers. Experience clips throughout the day that demonstrate the dynamic power, precision, and clarity only our system can deliver.

  • John Owens, Business Development Manager, Constellation and Andy Davies, Senior Director of Product Management, had the pleasure of attending the Institute of Acoustics Auditorium Acoustics Conference at the Bristol Beacon. The event brought together an inspiring community of professionals dedicated to advancing how we design and experience performance spaces.   Andy Davies presented a thought-provoking paper that added real depth to the discussions around innovation in auditorium acoustics, sparking some excellent conversations with colleagues from across the industry.   Many thanks to the IOA and Bristol Beacon for hosting such a valuable and insightful conference. Events like this reinforce how exciting it is to be part of the work we’re doing with Meyer Sound’s Constellation, helping venues around the world unlock new possibilities.
