Last weekend, the Route Hog team fired it up at the largest Yellow Ribbon RibFest yet, with 34 competitors and taking 9th in ribs and 13th overall! Grill Master Greg Route (McGough Labor Foreman), joined by his family crew and fueled by bold flavors from 1788 Hand Crafted Spices, brought the heat and heart. Best of all? Every rib eaten helps support the Minnesota Building Trades Yellow Ribbon 501(c)(3), benefiting servicemembers, veterans, and their families.

Ribbon cut, doors open! The newly renovated Technology & Business Center at Inver Hills Community College is officially ready for students. From Zoom rooms and labs to bright new learning spaces, this project reimagines how the campus will learn, connect, and grow. Proud to partner with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities and LHB, Inc. to bring this vision to life.

We're proud to have recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the expansion at the General Mills James Ford Bell Technical Center! This project includes a 40,000 sq ft wing expansion, renovations to community space, and an underground tunnel to support utilities to the new wing—all made possible through a strong partnership with Alliiance, MEYER BORGMAN JOHNSON, MCE, and Loucks. Set to be completed in June 2027, this expansion will create flexible space to drive collaboration and innovation well into the future.

For over two decades, McGough has partnered with Heartland Corn Products in Winthrop, MN, helping scale their ethanol refinery from 10 million gallons a year to nearly 160 million. From constructing entire plants to tackling the unexpected (like rebuilding after a roof collapse in the middle of winter), our team works alongside Heartland like an extension of their own. “McGough understands how we make money and how they can positively impact that. We’re proud to celebrate the start of construction on the new Bennett County Hospital in Martin, SD. After more than a decade of planning, this $19 million project will bring modernized emergency bays, updated acute care, and expanded medical facilities to better serve the community. A huge thank you to the Bennett County Hospital Board and community leaders for entrusting McGough to help bring this vision to life.
