Yesterday, I had the privilege of visiting a local VA to support a veteran living with significant communication challenges following a stroke. I introduced him to a Lingraphica AAC device—and guess what? He did great! He's ready and eager to explore new ways to connect with the world around him. While AAC technology is incredible, it’s really about something deeper: creating supportive conversations with a supportive communication partner. The tools are powerful, but the human connection is what truly makes a difference. With the right support, veterans can: 🇺🇸 Share their stories 🎖️ Talk about their service 📞 Answer the phone 🚑 Call 911 and ask for help 🆕 Connect with new people 🏡 Maintain independence …And so much more.
