  • Meet Calysta Tyree, our Organic Social Programming Manager! 📲 Tell us a little bit about what you do for the Chargers. My title is Programming Manager, Organic Social. Our Organic Social team creates and executes original social media content on the Chargers Social Media Platforms. I specifically plan our daily social calendar and post on platforms such as Instagram, Twitter & Facebook. I also help ideate content pieces from game highlights to trending TikTok videos. What is the most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding part of my job is knowing our posts are engaging and entertaining our current fanbase around the world while also expanding the team's presence to new audiences. We want any person with any interest to relate to our content. What aspects of Latino culture are most important to you, and why? Family & Food are aspects of my culture that I value so much. I was taught from a very young age the importance of family and nurturing the relationships I have with each one of my family members. Food is another aspect that I value because I have seen recipes being passed down through generations in my family. We love to gather and enjoy the company and the amazing food that we have eaten all of our lives. Are there any traditions or customs you particularly cherish? Christmas Eve is my favorite family tradition. In Latino culture, we typically celebrate on the 24th, and we gather for dinner and play games until we make it to midnight. Then we each get to open one present. My mom is the current host of the Christmas Eve party and has been hosting it for the past couple of years. We eat a dish named Menudo, which is a traditional Mexican soup. Are there any Latino leaders or role models who have influenced your career or personal development? Being a former athlete and also working in the sports industry, I've always admired Mexican and Colombian athletes who make it to the top levels of their sport, all while representing their country and culture. Some that come to mind are Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández, James Rodriguez, Luis 'Lucho' Díaz, Edson Álvarez & Marta. #workinsports #latinoheritagemonth

  • Meet Eddie Munoz, our Football Video Assistant! 📹 Tell us a little bit about what you do for the Chargers. As a Football Video Assistant, I manage the creation and preparation of game and practice film, organize cutups, maintain digital playbooks, and perform data entry. I also troubleshoot IT and AV issues to keep football operations running efficiently. On game days, I operate the still-shot system-capturing and tagging images from three cameras, inputting game data, and delivering the content to coaches' devices in real time. What is the most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding part of my job is to see that my work is contributing to the team's wins. What aspects of Latino culture are most important to you, and why? I believe the two most defining aspects of Latino culture are community and perseverance. I prioritize building strong relationships on and off the field to cultivate a positive, collaborative environment that enables everyone to succeed and consistently meet our goals, even when faced with unforeseen challenges. Are there any traditions or customs you particularly cherish? The tradition I cherish most is gathering with my family every weekend. I come from a large family, and no matter how many of us there are, we always meet at my grandmother's house for a family get-together to eat food and listen to music! Are there any Latino leaders or role models who have influenced your career or personal development? Canelo Álvarez has been a major influence on me because he embodies perseverance and discipline. Watching his journey taught me the importance of never giving up, regardless of the challenges or setbacks you face. I carry that mindset into my career by staying focused, working hard, and finding solutions even when things get difficult. His example reminds me that consistent effort and resilience are what lead to growth and success, both personally and professionally. #workinsports #latinoheritagemonth
