“Opportunities like this remind me of the bigger picture, using our resources and people to make a lasting difference in our community. For this Hometown’s Project, we gathered a team of 45 Lowe’s associates and vendor partners and together we: 🖌️ Repainted the south side of the building and the children’s art room 🧹 Cleaned out and organized all the classrooms, offices, bathrooms, laundry, pantry, kitchen, and the auditorium/cafeteria 🌼 Beautified the landscaping around the building and parking lot As we were working, we realized the washer, dryer, and AC unit were beyond use, so we surprised Y.E.S. with brand-new ones. The Executive Director told us 'You have no idea how much this means. A lot of our children’s families have to use the washer and dryer here. This means so much.' It means a lot to know that the work we did will directly impact kids and families who need encouragement and support. Seeing our team come together and leave something behind that strengthens the community is incredibly rewarding.” – Matt B., Store Manager #LowesLife
