Meet a few of our very talented team members and read why this time is so important — and how we can grow together through our different experiences. Eric Ramirez our Global Sourcing Leader for the Nonwovens Business, is based in South Carolina, but he grew up in Mexico City before he studied in Australia. This time is important to him because he’s always enjoyed sharing the parts of his culture that he’s most proud of — traditions, food, history, and values. He’s grateful there’s a 30-day period each year that amplifies this connection: Hispanic Heritage Month. Vicky Ferris our Bilingual Champion for the Customer Solutions Team, resides near World Headquarters in Ohio, and she’s a proud member of our HOLA Employee Resource Group. She says it’s given her the opportunity to connect with people from different parts of Latin America, and through those connections, she’s learned so much about the beautiful nuances in cultures — from the way traditions are celebrated to the unique flavors in food and rhythms in music. Diego Villero our Product Manager for Fiberglass Exterior Doors, is based in Florida but originally from Southern California. Something he would like others to know about this time is that “there’s no one-size-fits-all ‘Hispanic’ story.” Everyone hails from different places, and they bring a wide range of experiences with them. He believes this is a great time to be curious, to listen, and to recognize how our differences help make teams and communities more creative and resilient. We are proud to announce the selection of Prattville, Alabama as the location for our new shingle plant in the southeastern United States. This strategic investment, which was announced earlier this year, will expand our Roofing manufacturing footprint to serve our growing contractor network. Coming online in 2027, the new line will feature advanced technology to drive product quality and consistency, innovation, and economic growth in the Kansas City community.
