OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois and OSF Innovation were represented at the Association for Vascular Access Annual Scientific Meeting by Nicholas Kemp, exercise physiologist, and Reid Jockisch, M.S., innovation engineer. Together, they presented their collaborative work on a port protection device prototype designed to enhance safety for pediatric oncology patients who wish to participate in sports, particularly those with single or double lumen implanted ports. We’re proud of Nick and Reid for showcasing the innovative spirit of OSF HealthCare on a national stage and for advancing solutions that improve both safety and quality of life for our patients.

Recently, our compliance and internal audit teams stepped away from our desks and into a day of service; spending time at Midwest Food Bank to support our broader mission of compassion and community. Together, we assembled and boxed 600 Tender Mercies meal packets, each designed to provide nourishment and hope to those in need.
