Wellness is all the rage these days, but as our Head of Financial Wellness Julie Guntrip explains, if you’re not including financial wellness as a part of your self-care routine, you might be offsetting the benefits. The Mind-Money Connection is real (trust us - we did a whole report on it), and reducing stress around money may help you feel better all around. If you’re ready to make money a part of your wellness regimen, we’re here to help.
Managing your health and wellness could be a full-time job if you let it. I’ve seen folks optimizing everything from their sleep schedules to their water intake. And skincare routines look like assembly lines on the bathroom sink. (I may or may not be guilty of that one.) Self-care is important, and if these products and actions make you feel good, there’s value in that for your physical and mental health. Of course, as long as they’re not breaking the bank. And that brings me to my next point. When you focus on wellness, don’t forget about financial wellness too. Our Mind-Money Connection research revealed that people’s anxiety about their finances impacted their overall physical and mental health in many ways, including causing loss of sleep, regular headaches and feelings of guilt or hopelessness. If committing to a financial wellness routine seems like too much to handle, you can start with some small steps and build from there. Think about it: tracking your expenses and building a budget could help you gain greater control over your money and bring you more peace of mind. And I personally can’t imagine a better way to exercise self-care than by saving for your future. The Jenius Bank blog has some great pointers on how to incorporate financial wellness into your total wellness. I linked just one of our many articles below! How’s that for optimization? 😎 (P.S. Here are those tips I mentioned - if you’re not on it already, try them out!) https://lnkd.in/gnfFQghQ Jenius Bank® is a division of SMBC MANUBANK. Member FDIC.
