Where is global egg consumption growing fastest? According to our latest forecast, egg consumption is set to grow rapidly in Asia, Africa, and Latin America through 2035, driven by rising incomes, population growth, and improved availability. In contrast, growth in advanced economies such as the EU, Japan, and South Korea is expected to remain slow (between 0% and 1%). North America and Australia may see slightly higher growth, just above 1%, largely due to higher population growth. Economically consolidated countries like China, Russia, and Chile are also expected to slow to around 1%. From a volume perspective, India is projected to overtake China as the largest growth market by 2035. This shift is supported by a combination of demographic trends, income growth, and increased marketing efforts.
