On Monday, Jack Bullo and Chris Vogelheim, AIA will present “Community-driven Campus Planning Fuels Education, Design, and Revitalization” with Peter Provenzano, Jr., Chancellor of Oakland Community College, highlighting OCC’s new Culinary Studies Building reinvigorating downtown Royal Oak. On Tuesday, Chris Vogelheim will join Monika Dressler and Fadi Musleh from the University of Michigan for “Building Tomorrow’s Classrooms: Strategy, Design, and Collaboration,” showcasing the Central Campus Classroom Building (CCCB) and its impact on collaborative, flexible learning. The HED and Crime Lab Design team were honored to present at this year’s DNA Working Group during the Asian Forensic Sciences Network & Asia Pacific Medico-Legal Agencies Conference in South Korea! Presenters included Jon Howard, AIA, CDT; Ken Mohr, Assoc. AIA; @Jinhee Lee, AIA, NCARB, CDT; and @Patrick J Slattery, PCM, LEED AP, who led the DNA Workshop Mitochondrial DNA – Giving Voice to the Missing. The session highlighted key considerations along with design and laboratory planning best practices for creating advanced DNA laboratories that support research and bring closure and justice to families and the missing.
