⏰ A timely request as seen in a Midwest Association for Medical Equipment Services email bulletin this morning: ✍ Reps. Neal Dunn, R-Fla., and Greg Murphy, R-N.C., are leading a sign-on letter urging the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) not to move forward with expanding the competitive bidding program to include ostomy, urological and tracheostomy supplies. ➡️ They seek signatures by close of business this Friday, Oct. 3. 📣 “We respectfully request that the proposal for inclusion of these products be withdrawn as we believe it would conflict with the administration's goals to strengthen American manufacturing, secure our medical supply chains from foreign adversaries, and protect the health and well-being of our nation's most vulnerable citizens,” the letter states. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/eksAJG3Z

👀 In this morning's HME Newswire: 👐 For patients, learning to use catheters is one thing. Living with them every day is another. Numotion Medical Supply's new Ally program hopes to help close that gap. The program offers vital online resources, education and connection – all in one place, the company says. 📢 “There are a lot of resources out there, but most are product-driven,” said Neill Rowland, senior vice president of Numotion’s Medical Supply division. “We wanted a site and a platform where end users could go and get resources on all types of products and scenarios, but then also have a community-based program where they can network, talk with their peers, talk to clinicians and really have a forum of outreach and community support.” The Ally program combines: ✅ Podcasts ✅ Webinars ✅ Videos ✅ Downloadable guides 🔗 https://lnkd.in/etV9W6pw

🤝 During the August recess, DME suppliers across the country seized the opportunity to engage with lawmakers and advocate for critical DMEPOS legislation, according to the VGM & Associates Government Relations Team. ✅ In Dallas, Laurie Bachorek, director of rehab at Baxter Management/MetroCare, hosted U.S. Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Texas, a member of the influential House Energy and Commerce Committee. ✅ Lauryn Estrella, executive director for the The Home Medical Equipment and Services Association of New England (HOMES), coordinated nine meetings with federal legislators across the six states represented by the association. 📣 “By opening their doors and sharing their experiences, DME providers are helping lawmakers understand the real-world implications of their decisions,” the company says. “As we move forward, continued collaboration and outreach will be essential to advancing legislation that protects access to quality care and supports the DME community. Let’s keep the momentum going—every conversation counts.” https://lnkd.in/eViqZ3Cg
