Signing documents that come out of Autodesk AutoCAD (and others..) is where things get interesting. Not an NDA. A full-scale plan. That’s the moment most digital CLM tools quietly fall apart. 😮💨 Large-format plans are created digitally, built from thousands of overlapping layers, exported as A0 / A1 PDFs, and still printed just to be signed at handover. 🙈 Not because anyone enjoys paper. But because digital signing/CLM tools usually break when documents stop looking like A4 / letter format. Printing digital plans just to sign them isn’t tradition. It’s a tooling failure. One of our customers recently ran into this with legally required QES: a. massive drawings b. deep zoom into technical details c. millimeter-precise signature placement So we asked a different question: What if a contract is an engineering drawing? This one hit closer to home than expected. I dug up an old large-format thesis drawing, re-archived the PDF, and tried to sign it the way engineers actually need to. In this short video, I’m signing a full-scale engineering drawing: zooming exactly where the signature belongs, placing it with precision, keeping it legally binding, without printing or scanning, while the document stays fully searchable, trackable, and part of a real contract lifecycle 🍬 This is what happens when CLM is built beyond legal teams and starts working for engineers, architects, and planners who hand projects over. 🏗️🤝 If you’re still chasing wet signatures on construction plans in 2026, this probably feels uncomfortably familiar. 👀 fynk Kudos to a xmas shift by Constantin Wintoniak 🥝 and Dominik Hackl for pushing this over the line 🎄💪
