Over the past few months working with Prompt Rx and the MavRx platform, I’ve had conversations with hundreds of brokers, brokerages, and point-solution vendors. One thing is clear: the PBM space is changing fast, and the brokers who understand what MavRx is doing for their self-funded groups will be way ahead of the curve. Special thanks to Brian Nowosielski & Drug Topics for putting this together — glad to help connect Bill Wolfe and Drug Topics. This is the third major industry publication highlighting this movement, and it’s only picking up momentum. If you’re a broker in the self-funded space and haven’t seen what MavRx can do yet… don’t wait until your competitors are already showing it to your groups. Shoot me a DM if you want to learn more.
On the most recent episode of Over the Counter powered by Drug Topics, we sat down with Bill Wolfe from WriteWise to discuss the current state of #PBMs in the #pharmacy industry, how new and #alternative movements are on the rise, and the ways in which his company is attempting to recorrect the #challenges in pharmacy benefit distribution today. "Why the PBMs have come under such scrutiny is that folks go through this exercise every year or every few years," Wolfe told us. "They think, ‘Okay, I got a new deal, I'm going to save money,’ and then they don't. Even though the PBMs hit their guarantees at the discount and rebate levels, the client still spends. The cost just keeps going up, while the consumer also continues to pay more out of pocket. We're really at a #crossroads." Check out a full-length version of the conversation here: https://lnkd.in/eXh_6wHr. Special thanks to Bill Wolfe and Paul Petaccio for all of your work in setting this interview up!
