  • Deckers Brands is proud to celebrate the graduation of our newest Trailblazers cohorts! This spring, 59 leaders from North America and EMEA completed our fourth virtual cohort, and 79 leaders from our Moreno Valley Distribution Center graduated through a dedicated in-person session. Designed for first-time leaders, the Trailblazers program builds skills for meaningful leadership at Deckers. As Melissa Gallagher, Chief People Officer, shares: “We’re so proud of this year’s Trailblazers and the leaders they’re becoming. Over the past eight months, they’ve learned new skills, gained valuable insights, and developed their leadership potential - while embodying the culture that makes Deckers such a special place.     Last week at our Global Brand Conference, I was honored to be voted by my peers as the “Heart of HOKA.” I’ve been taking time to reflect on what that really means—not just for me, but for others like me. I think about younger Aaron, working at A Snail’s Pace Running Shop, dreaming of breaking into the industry. I think of other Black runners wondering how to find their way into the brand world. Now imagine seeing yourself at the top of a podium—not just for performance, but because your peers believe the way you move through the world represents the true spirit of the brand. That’s powerful. This year has had its challenges, and I’ve questioned whether I was losing my spark. But moments like this remind me: you are enough, and your impact matters. Thank you to my teammates and peers for this recognition. I promise to keep going, because I know this isn’t just a win for me, but for all of those who can relate to my story!

  • This Earth Day, we take a moment to recognize the meaningful progress our teams are making toward more responsible and efficient operations. Our corporate headquarters and our Moreno Valley, California, DC locations are Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified silver and are working towards achieving LEED certified gold. Our Mooresville, Indiana, DC locations are LEED certified gold. This certification recognizes its energy efficiency, water conservation, and sustainable building design. We’re also proud to share that our Moreno Valley, California DC and our Indiana distribution center locations have achieved their Zero Waste Gold certification - successfully diverting at least 90% of their waste from landfills through recycling, composting, and reuse programs. Earth Day is an opportunity to celebrate our progress and reaffirm our commitment to continuous improvement.     It isn't often that I get to plant myself in front of an actual class, but this week I had the honor of spending a couple days with the 80+ wonderful leaders at Deckers Brands' Moreno Valley Distribution Center, covering the first half of our Trailblazers Leadership Certification program. I find myself consistently awed by the candor, vulnerability and openness of our leaders at every level in this organization. What a privilege it is to get to dive into real and impactful leadership topics with a group so hungry to be the best leaders they can for their people.
