💚 Dal-Tile at the UNT STEM Career Fair 🦅 This week, Dal-Tile had the pleasure of attending the University of North Texas STEM Career Fair, where we connected with over 60 bright and driven students exploring careers in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Material Science & Design, and Maintenance. We were energized by the conversations and impressed by the preparation and enthusiasm of both graduate and undergraduate students. Many even shared personal connections to Dal-Tile through family or past work experience- a powerful reminder of the community we’re proud to be part of. The event was non-stop fun, and we enjoyed every minute of interacting with the next generation of STEM professionals. 🎉 Teamwork, Leadership, and a Little Baseball! ⚾ Dal-Tile recently hosted a powerful Situational Leadership® II (SLII®) training session led by our outstanding Training Team. This course gave participants practical tools to adapt their leadership approach based on the needs and development levels of their team member- a skillset that’s essential for empowering others and driving results. What made this session even more special? We welcomed attendees not only from our Corporate Office, but also from locations across Florida and Canada. It was a unique opportunity to share insights, build relationships, and align on leadership strategies across regions. To wrap up the week, the group celebrated with a night out at a Texas Rangers game - a well-deserved break and a great chance to bond outside the classroom! 🏆 Internship Spotlight: Driving Impact Through Sales Ops Our Operations interns had the opportunity to present to the DROs as part of Paul Hansen Jr.'s Summit- a strong finish to a high-impact summer. They began by introducing themselves, sharing their backgrounds, and recapping key highlights from their internship-including more than 9 informational interviews with VPs, Directors, and Managers across nearly every corporate department. These conversations helped them build a broader understanding of the business, reinforcing how essential cross-functional knowledge is in a successful Sales Ops role. Their presentation also covered four core projects: 🔹 Domo Data Deletion – Reduced 23 billion rows of data (about 25% total), significantly improving site performance for corporate users. 🔹 Mailing List Audit – Cleaned and updated 50+ email distribution lists to improve communication across teams. 🔹 Kitchen & Bath Prospects – Identified over 1,500 potential leads (dealers, remodelers, etc.) to support the inside sales team and align with Patrick Warren’s focus on residential remodeling. 🔹 Sales Performance Dashboard – Created a Month-to-Date dashboard in Domo using SQL for Scott Maslowski, replacing a manual Excel process and reducing update time.
