"Melanie has transformed her passion for plants, sustainable living, and small business support into a thriving entrepreneurial journey. In 2022, she took a courageous leap of faith (leaving behind a successful career in architecture) to pursue her dream of starting her own business, Sage Spade. What began with a presence at local farmers markets quickly evolved into something greater. In 2025, Melanie celebrated a major milestone by opening her first brick-and-mortar store in a newly renovated shopping center just outside of Olde Town. Sage Spade has truly activated the Ralston Road Shops into a beloved new third space for community." Melanie: "My goal is to help as many small businesses as I can grow.
