They’ll lead and manage the product creation process, bringing strategic direction and vision to our product roadmap. As you might imagine, at Allbirds, we have a lottt of legal ducks to keep in a row. 🦆🦆🦆 Thank goodness for our Senior Paralegal and this month’s Flockstar, Emma Sousa, who keeps us silly geese out of trouble. Emma supports our legal operations, from drafting contracts, to managing compliance and IP, to politely explaining why our April Fool’s ideas are in direct violation of… 17 laws and statutes. Let’s just say, she’s got the patience of a saint. When we’re looking for quick counsel, a crash course in contracts, or translation of legalese, Emma’s our gal. Outside of work, you’ll catch Emma with her dog Canela, nose-down in the latest-and-greatest novels, or thrifting for Depression glass – she’s got a cabinet full of it, proving once and for all that her pastimes are more interesting than ours. Emma, from the Flock, thank you for all you do. We’d be lost (and potentially, in jail) without you.

Shoes made from rubbish? Hear us out.  Turns out, the footwear industry generates A LOT of manufacturing waste–hundreds of thousands of tons each year. That all adds up to a lot of leftover materials wasting away in landfills, where they take decades to decompose. Good news: we're working on a better way.
