🚨🚨🚨 Insurance Fraud Impacts Us All - and the Next Generation is Stepping Up 🚨🚨🚨 The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud has launched their first-ever Social Media Competition! 🎉 Students from Wayne State University will create original posts designed to resonate with the 18–25 year-old demographic — a group whose perceptions about fraud are critical to shaping the future. Research like the groundbreaking “Who Me? Who Commits Insurance Fraud and Why” report by the Coalition and Verisk shows younger consumers often view insurance fraud differently — sometimes even questioning its illegality. That’s why this initiative matters: it empowers students to use their voices and creativity to push back against fraud, directly engaging their peers where they spend their time — on social media. 👉 Here’s how you can help make this campaign a success: · Follow the Coalition on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram · Engage with student posts — like, comment, and share to amplify their reach. · Spread the word within your organization and networks, especially with communications teams. Together, we can elevate student voices, challenge harmful attitudes, and strengthen the fight against fraud. #InsuranceFraud #FraudAwareness #CoalitionAgainstInsuranceFraud #StopFraud #SocialImpact #SIU
About us
The primary mission of the Anti-Fraud Alliance® is to provide a forum for strengthening skills; broadening job knowledge through training; and advancing the goals of our diverse membership. The Association’s mission includes coordinating information sharing by networking, assisting in the identification, apprehension, and prosecution of those responsible for acts of fraud. AFA encourages high professional standards of conduct among investigators in order to promote a strong anti-fraud environment; informs membership about changes in pending legislation/regulations designed to reduce the incidences of fraud and improve the quality of fraud investigations; promotes alliances of individuals and organizations committed to the deterrence, detection, investigation, and reporting of fraud; thereby, fostering cooperation between the private sector and law enforcement. AFA strives to increase communication and dialogue between the membership and general public as to the scope of fraud issues and to raise awareness and build support for anti-fraud initiatives.

AFA Anti-Fraud Alliance reposted this
The Global Insurance Fraud Summit (GIFs) delivered its Mid-Year Report to the Nations live from the AFA Anti-Fraud Alliance Conference in Monterey, California. As a nonprofit founded in 2019, GIFs continues to lead the charge in combatting transnational insurance fraud through collaboration—not just conversation. 🔍 Key Takeaways from the Report: ✅ GIFS is not a conference — it’s a working summit producing real-world deliverables for regulators, insurers, law enforcement, and service providers. 📍 Singapore GIFS 2024 marked a milestone: 20+ nations, 35 speakers, 28 sessions—showcasing APAC’s pivotal role. 🌐 Three major deliverables underway: 1. Insurance Fraud Definition — common language, common fight — completed in 2023 (available on website) 2. Global Anti-Fraud Directory — to connect investigators and anti-fraud professionals worldwide. 3. Global Intelligence Center — to identify emerging fraud schemes and share trend data globally (without PII). 🧩 Challenges remain: privacy regulations, resource constraints, and maintaining global inclusivity—but the commitment of the volunteers of GIFs is unwavering. 📢 Looking ahead: Join us at GIFS 2025 in Toronto (Oct 19–22) — a working summit set in a spectacular venue, with a shared mission: to outsmart global insurance fraud, together. Registration opens on June 1st on our website. 💡 Want to get involved? Sponsor. Volunteer. Share your expertise. Let’s move from intent to impact.
