Action Behavior Centers - ABA Therapy for Autism had the honor of welcoming Juan Ciscomani, United States Representative and his team, to our ABC Tortolita - Overton Center in Tucson, Arizona. Our ABC Tucson leaders, Jamie Alexander BCBA, LBA and Melissa Williams, highlighted how ABA services not only empower children and families today but also serve as a vital long-term investment in reducing reliance on costly special education services, Medicare/Medicaid, and other social benefit programs. Children with autism spectrum disorder who begin early ABA intervention are less likely to need intensive services as adults. Early access to ABA therapy can alter that trajectory, fostering greater independence and a higher quality of life, while decreasing long-term costs for state and federal systems. We sincerely thank Congressman Ciscomani for his thoughtful engagement, his support for autism services in Arizona, and his commitment to listening to the needs of our families and providers. A huge thank you and shout out to our incredible and dedicated team, including Ashley Brock, Joy Skilsky, Elyse Powell, Brooke Shaffer, Jonna Lang, and Craig Ford for making this visit a success. We were honored to host U.S. Congressman Juan Ciscomani at our Tortolita-Overman Center this Thursday. Thank you for spending intentional time with our team: walking the halls, listening to parent stories, and working alongside us to improve access to ABA therapy. 🙏 We shared the incredible journey a child has made through ABA at ABC, and showcased how our clinicians are helping families shift from hope to progress. We talked outcomes, graduations, and how many of our kids are successfully transitioning into the school setting of their choice. Our ask is clear: invest now in Medicaid & early intervention.
