For Charlotte Nellist, there’s no question how important customer care professionals are to American Express. “Our frontline colleagues are the true face of our brand,” she said. “They handle every kind of customer question or interaction you can imagine, have great listening skills and are there for our customers when they need us.” Charlotte would know. Currently a Vice President in the company’s procurement organization, she started out as a customer care professional in 2003, joining Amex’s Brighton, UK office after completing her business degree.
