That's a wrap on Day 1 of Realignment Training! California Counties Foundation COO, Paul Danczyk, PhD, PCC welcomed participants in the morning. Diane Cummins, who served as Special Advisor to the Governor, opened up the program with the history of the 1991 and 2011 Realignments. After lunch, Robert Manchia, Chief Financial Officer of the County of San Mateo, went over the finer details of funding allocation to a rapt audience. We’re happy to bring this in-demand course to such an engaged group!  

Today, Dr. Alexandru Roman emphasized in his course, "Managing Public Sector Projects," that while project management might seem technical and dry, developing these skills is crucial for career advancement and organizational success. "Accountability is easy to measure, while leadership is more difficult to quantify." Last week, Dr. Rueben Brock shared some of his Jedi mind tricks to let your team know that you are really listening to them in a class on Empathic Leadership. Class participants were coming fresh from a course the day prior on Consensus and Commitment: Linking Culture with Outcomes, taught by Regina W. Romeo. "Culture change is an investment of time and resources. Onboarding is not just the first week; it goes on forever." Proudly Recognizing the Graduates of Our Inaugural Human Resources (HR) Executive Institute 👏 🎊 🎉   In partnership with California Counties Human Resources (CCHR), we honored 26 dedicated leaders from 17 counties during the CCHR Fall Conference in San Diego on August 28.    This milestone program was designed specifically for current and emerging county HR executives who are navigating today’s most pressing workforce challenges. Over the course of the program, participants completed 50+ hours of advanced professional instruction -including a four-day residency, hands-on elective courses, and opportunities to strengthen leadership networks across California.    Congratulations to each of our graduates for their commitment to professional growth and their dedication to strengthening county HR leadership statewide.    What’s next? We’re excited to share that the next cohort of the HR Executive Institute launches Wednesday, November 12.
