We heard your concerns about safety at Sequoia Station and took action. Community safety just got stronger in the heart of Redwood City. 🏛️ Our new police substation at Sequoia Station means faster response times, increased visibility, and better service for one of our busiest areas. Located at 1035 El Camino Real, this substation puts officers closer to where people live, work, and travel every day. The facility represents our commitment to being present, approachable, and engaged with our community. 🤝 Thank you to our Redwood City Police Department and community partners for making this vision a reality. ✂️ Photos by Iliana G. Last week's guided tour of Redwood Creek provided essential context for our downtown planning process. As part of the Greater Downtown Area Planning (GDAP) effort, community members explored the relationship between our creek and surrounding development, and heard about our proposal to transform the Creek into a community recreational amenity. This place-based approach strengthens public engagement in long-term planning. When residents experience the planning process firsthand, policy conversations become more informed and collaborative.
