We’re Hiring a City Plan Reviewer – Join the West Memphis Winning Streak! The City of West Memphis is looking for a Plan Reviewer to join our Planning and Development team! If you have expertise in construction codes, zoning regulations, and building inspections, this is an exciting opportunity to make an impact on the future development of our city. Key Responsibilities: ✔️ Review building plans to ensure compliance with construction codes and zoning regulations ✔️ Provide technical assistance to contractors, developers, and the public ✔️ Interpret codes, ordinances, and regulations for plan approvals ✔️ Prepare reports on code discrepancies and follow up on permits ✔️ Conduct field inspections in support of building inspectors ✔️ Maintain accurate records and documentation for plan reviews Qualifications & Skills: ✅ Knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and zoning codes ✅ Ability to read and interpret building plans with accuracy ✅ Strong communication and problem-solving skills ✅ Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction (3+ years preferred) ✅ Associate’s degree (or equivalent coursework); B.S. in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Urban Planning preferred ✅ Certifications in Building Inspection (UCI, UHI, CBI) required Why Join Us? ✔️Be a key player in the growth and development of West Memphis ✔️Work in a collaborative environment with city leaders and developers ✔️Competitive salary and benefits Are you ready to help shape the future of West Memphis?
