We’re proud to share that the Bob Crane Community Center has been awarded the 2025 James B. Recchie Design Award by the Columbus Landmarks Foundation! 🏆 🎉 Selected as the top project from across central Ohio, the facility was recognized for its thoughtful design, intergenerational spaces, and lasting community impact. Opened in April, the 165,000-square-foot building features a pool, gymnasiums, fitness spaces, multipurpose rooms, and welcoming gathering areas that bring people of all ages together. CONGRATULATIONS!! 🎉 We are excited to share that Ross Morrow has been promoted to serve as the City of Upper Arlington’s next Director of Information Technology. 💻 🌐 Ross joined the City in 2018 as part of our GIS team and has most recently served as our GIS Administrator. THANK YOU! 💛 🙌 Council Member Kathy Adams stepped down on Monday from her role on City Council after serving since 2022. During her time on City Council, she championed programs for seniors, supported electric aggregation to benefit residents, and modernized procurement processes to create opportunities for minority-owned vendors. Kathy also served as liaison to the Community Relations Committee and made history as Upper Arlington’s first openly LGBTQ+ Council Member. Saving lives, now in a new way! 🚒 🔥 Joshua Hines has spent 15 years as a paramedic, providing emergency medical care to those in need. Now, he’s stepping into a new role with the City of Upper Arlington as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Family and friends recently joined City staff at Fire Station 72 for a swearing-in ceremony. 🎉 He will soon attend the Ohio Fire Academy’s 10-week program, which blends classroom instruction with hands-on firefighting training to prepare him for the full spectrum of challenges in the fire service. #Firefighter #Paramedic #PublicSafety #UAFD #UpperArlington
