  • Last week, our team from Chimes took part in Source America’s Grass Roots Advocacy Conference in Washington DC. People supported by Chimes were able to meet with congressional leaders and share their firsthand experience of the transformational impact employment through the AbilityOne program has for them. Thank you to Source America for this opportunity. We also appreciate all the representatives from Chimes, including our longtime team member, Tyrone Johns, for sharing their inspiring stories and insights as we advocate for more employment opportunities for people with disabilities. • Chimes Holcomb’s COPE program was recently honored with a proclamation from the Chester County Commissioners. COPE stands for Community Outreach and Prevention Education and the program helps connect people struggling with substance use disorders to treatment and other resources. Chimes Holcomb is grateful for the partnership of Chester County and other providers throughout the area who do this important work.

  • Celebrating 30 years of service – Carol Donahue has volunteered her time and talents at Chimes Delaware for more than 30 years! At our recent Delaware Advisory Council meeting, Chimes honored Carol for her contributions. She was even awarded an official tribute by the State of Delaware’s House of Representatives for her contributions to improving the lives of people with developmental disabilities. Carol has been a part of Chimes’ success in Delaware as we have grown from serving 71 people back in 1994 to well over 500 today! Thank you for all you have done for your son, Tom, and countless others Chimes supports in Delaware! #disabilityadvocacy #volunteering

We were honored to welcome Zander Tippett and Mackenzie Stamp from Congresswoman Sarah McBride’s office, and Son-Djerry Cameus from Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester’s office. Thank you for sharing in the magic and supporting our community! • Chilling out with our DSPs! There's no better way to cool off on a warm early fall afternoon than with some frozen treats for our amazing DSPs in Maryland. We are planning special events to celebrate DSP week across the region. Stay tuned for more pictures and celebrations throughout the week! #DSPWeek
