Big news from the Character.AI team‼️ We’re open-sourcing Ovi, our new video + audio generation model, built to push the frontier of human-centric AI content. This is another way our team is expediting research through our models. What makes Ovi special: ✨ Generates high-quality video with synchronized audio that feels natural, emotional, and cinematic while bridging the gap between the OSS community and SOTA models. ✨ Built in just ~2 months by a small, focused team with limited resources. ✨ 11B parameters, ~32 GB peak RAM, ~80s end-to-end on a single GPU — practical and deployable. What’s next: 🔜Higher resolution, longer video support, and distillation for even faster inference. We’re excited to see what the community creates with Ovi.
