Maxwell House just rebranded to Maxwell Apartment. Because apparently coffee brands need midlife crises too. It’s getting the buzz. But will it get the buy-in? 🤔 We’ve been deep in the rebrand rabbit hole lately, and one thing’s clear: the winners don’t just rename. They reclarify. They strip it all down to 2 or 3 hard truths and let real people pressure-test the story. That means: ☑️ Say less, mean more ☑️ Validate with actual customers ☑️ Optimize for outcomes, not headlines So yeah, Maxwell’s trending today. But tomorrow? That’s when the real brand test begins. What’s your take: bold strategy or clever stunt? #rebranding #brandstrategy #marketinginsights #brandlegacy

Rebrands that work don’t just tell a story. They show it. And they make people believe it. Alison shares what it actually takes to make a rebrand land with clarity, confidence, and zero fluff.👇
I recently sat down with Amanda Malko, Chief Revenue Officer at Thinkific, for Ceros’ new series, The Engagement Principles. We discussed the power of strategic rebranding and how authenticity can be a massive catalyst for business growth. It’s not just a catchy line. It’s the discipline that turns complicated stories into powerful narratives. In our conversation, Amanda shares her lessons learned from the Thinkific strategic rebrand. Thought I would share mine from my time here at Ceros and my experiences at LinkedIn and Stripe. 1. Meet your customers where they are: Spend quality time to truly understand your customers’ day-to-day experiences. Walk a mile (or ten!) in their shoes. 2. Own your own frame of reference: Don’t try to fit your company into someone else’s narrative—especially if you’re a challenger brand. Define your space, sharpen your elbows, and be relentless in how you want to be perceived. 3. Inspire them: Show, don’t tell. Let customers feel the value of your product or service through experiences, rather than just telling them about it. 4. Consistency and craftsmanship: Ensure that every aspect of your company, from product to marketing to customer experience, consistently fulfills the brand’s promise and demonstrates real care. The more engaging and interactive your brand moments can be, the more you'll cut through. Catch my full conversation with Amanda. Digital ads follow you everywhere. Painted walls make you stop. Our CPO Daniel Mc Glade just dropped a new Stone by Stone essay on what Brooklyn walls can teach brands about making content that sticks. Link to the full piece in the comments. Button copy. H3s. Body text. Now they all play nice. Until you tell them not to. Design systems are evolving. This one plays by your rules. #nocodeneeded #contentcreation #interactivecontent #futureofdesign #designtool

We could write a white paper. Or we could let real people talk. 🤷 Turns out, customers telling their own stories hits different. Why? Because people trust people who look like them, with the same challenges and use cases. That authenticity will always travel farther than polished brand copy. Amanda Malko breaks it down in the latest episode of The Engagement Principles. Link in the comments. 👇 Curious how others are thinking about this. How do you use customer voice in your own marketing?

Love this reminder from our Chief Product Officer, Daniel Mc Glade: zoom out once in a while. Worth your scroll. 👇
We all do it. Optimise for efficiency. Optimise for focus. Optimise for outcomes. But sometimes, that very optimisation costs us the bigger picture. Perhaps it’s time to take out the AirPods? Scrolling used to be passive. Not anymore. We’re building something that flips the script on digital storytelling. It moves. It reacts. It surprises. And it’s just getting started. #interactivecontent #futureofdesign #contentcreation
