Description

Objective:

The course objective is to enable students to explain foundational concepts of network system design, design efficient and secure network architectures, and evaluate network performance and routing algorithms.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explain the main characteristics of different types of networks
  • List the different layers of the OSI model and explain the functionality of each one of the layers
  • Identify and describe network architecture and technologies; explain types and uses
